There's a beautifully equipped shared kitchen with complimentary tea, coffee, and the basics. You can cook, you can pretend to cook, or you can let us do it.

Is it suitable for families?

Yes — our Family Room sleeps four with a private bathroom and easy garden access. We are not a kids' club, but children are welcome.

Is the GreyHouse Bar open year-round?

Yes — with two moods. Summer Bar (end May → mid September) lives in the garden with sunset drinks and small events. Winter Bar (autumn into spring) gathers around the fire pit and inside, on selected evenings. Follow our updates for exact dates.

Locals are the soul of it. Walk in for sunset drinks in summer, gather around the fire in winter, stay for the music, leave with a new friend.

Is there a sauna?

Yes — an outdoor, wood-fired, Finnish-style sauna in the garden. Bookable per stay as an add-on (€40 for 90 minutes). Towels and a bucket are included. Silence comes free.

Can I work remotely from GreyHouse?

Yes — and seriously well. Starlink WiFi (so storms don't kill your Zoom calls), a desk by the window in the Couple's Double Room, quiet, real coffee, and a long-stay discount that kicks in from 7 nights.

Is Diest nearby?

10 minutes by car. Walking and cycling routes from the door. Far enough to feel away, close enough for dinner in town.

How do I avoid double bookings with Airbnb?

Accepted Answer

Our system imports the Airbnb iCal feed every 30 minutes and exports our direct bookings back to Airbnb. Admins can also manually block dates.
