What a Diest weekend actually looks like
Friday afternoon you arrive. Late check-in is fine. We point you to the bakery for tomorrow morning, the brewery for tonight, and the cycling loop for Saturday. Saturday you sleep in. We have coffee and tea ready in the shared kitchen. You walk into Diest for lunch, then back through the fields. Sunday you do almost nothing, on purpose.
Where GreyHouse sits, exactly
GreyHouse is in the countryside between Diest and the Hageland hills. Brussels is one hour. Antwerp is one hour. Leuven is forty-five minutes. Hasselt is thirty minutes. Far enough to disappear from the city, close enough that nobody complains about the drive.
Why direct, not Airbnb
Booking direct gets you a faster reply, priority on the room you want, and — when we can — a better rate than what Airbnb shows. It also means we know who's coming. We can leave you a welcome note instead of a check-in code.
They came for one night.
They text us about it for months.
"We came for one night and stayed for the silence."
"It felt like Airbnb and a boutique retreat had a rebellious child. We're already booked again."
"The Summer Bar alone is worth coming back for."
"Worked from the garden for a week and barely opened Slack. Will return."
